Undergraduate Student Research Assistants (UC Irvine)

Undergraduate students interested in becoming CHIP Lab research assistants should email a resume with your cumulative GPA to Dr. Payán. Students should be currently enrolled at UC Irvine and have successfully completed at least one public health course (minimum B+ grade). Students who have successfully taken at least one class with Dr. Payán and are part of either the Public Health Honors or Campuswide Honors Collegium programs are highly preferred. Prospective Graduate Students
Please review UC Irvine’s Public Health website to learn more about the PhD in Health, Society, and Behavior and Master of Public Health (MPH). The MPH program now offers two tracks relevant to CHIP Lab work, including: 1) Health Systems and Policy & 2) Community Health and Health Equity. If interested in applying to the PhD program and joining the CHIP Lab (focus on health policy, nutrition/food policy, community health, or health services research), please email Dr. Payán a recent CV/resume.
